Tiger Woods Kissing US Open Golf Championship Trophy

I don’t know if you were watching any of the U.S. Open golf tournament recently, but that Tiger Woods is something else…

Even if you’re not a golf fan (and I’m not really) you have to admire the kid. He’s usually performing at a level that’s simply unheard of in the golf world.

Key word there is “usually”. Because during this tournament, Tiger didn’t have his “A” game.

Hannah Montanna

As I was typing that blog post title, I couldn’t help but think about my daughter Ava…

She’s the typical 6 year old girl–energetic, vivacious, full of life…

…and a HUGE Hannah Montana fan.

Now, if you’ve got kids of your own (especially girls) then you know who Hannah Montana is.

She’s the biggest teen pop star in the world, with a top-rated Disney Channel TV show and sold out concerts nationwide–not to mention a marketing and merchandising blitz that’s simply staggering.

There’s a lot of different personalities in the “guru” business…

I’ve met passive-aggressives, dependents, narcissists, anti-socials, paranoids, obsessive-compulsives, and even the occasional masochist. (Don’t ask–I’m not naming names.) 😉

A sense of urgency.

Successful entrepreneurs look at practically every moment of every day like a challenge–and they attack it accordingly. This high need for achievement motivates them to turn their ideas into action.

Are You A Dreamer…Or A Doer?

06/17/2008 | 13 Comments

When I’m talking with budding entrepreneurs who have visions of running their own online or offline business, I always seem to hear the same thing:

“I know what I need to do, Rich…I just need to get off my butt and actually do it”.

But unfortunately, we all know what happens. Most never take the next step, and eventually give up on their dreams altogether.

Sound familiar? It does to me…

The Most Effective Way To Grab Attention

I have a confession to make–I LOVE picking up the check.

That’s one of the perks of being a guru. Whenever you’re having dinner or drinks with friends or clients, you’re always able to take care of the tab without worry.

They Stood For Hours, Drinking In Every Word…

It was one of the most amazing things I had ever seen.

Last February, during our New Beginnings event at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, one of my guest speakers was Wine Library TV’s Gary Vaynerchuk.

Gary wrapped up the week with a rip-roaring presentation on social media that had everyone in the room standing and cheering.

So I’m hanging out in gorgeous San Diego at Frank Kern’s Mass Control event, and who do I run into?

The List Building Mavens themselves–Tellman Knudson and Shawn Casey.

Now, if you’ve been following my blog lately, then you know these guys have been giving away the farm recently in a series of FREE videos on how to build monster lists…

And you know we’re going to do a call this Wednesday when I’ll talk to them about their fastest and easiest behind-the-scenes techniques for generating tens of thousands of devoted followers who know, like, and trust you…

So when I saw them roaming around the hotel, I grabbed my number one guy, Brian Johnson (who had his video camera with him), yanked Tellman and Shawn to a corner table and started rolling.

This is what came out of it…

Q: Are you interested in getting smarter?

I think most people are. However, I also think most people misinterpret what “getting smarter” really means… or… really should mean.

And there are many books out there that promise that, if you just add a few points to your IQ, your life will improve… and improve dramatically.

Nice hook for selling books… but… I disagree with this concept. I don’t think our goal—if we want to be successful in business and in life—is to raise our IQs…

Not at all. And here’s why…

Q: If you held a gun to my head and forced me to pick just one marketing tactic to grow my business from zero to 8 figures in less than 20 months…which marketing strategy would I use?

A: Actually, it’s a trick question…because you wouldn’t have to hold a gun to my head… in fact –Strategic Profits took in $7.4 million in its first 12 months, and broke 8 figures in our second year using JUST ONE marketing strategy.
